OpenText's
(NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC) Business Process Solutions
(BPS) group today announced that OpenText Metastorm
has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant of the
2011 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools
research report published by leading industry analyst
firm, Gartner, Inc. The Gartner 2011 Magic Quadrant
for Enterprise Architecture Tools report positions
vendors in a particular market segment based on their
completeness of vision and ability to execute.
The research report evaluates vendor solutions on how well they support EA teams
in everyday activities such as modeling, future-state analysis,
road mapping, dashboard analysis and scenario planning that impact
these stakeholders. According to the report, "Leaders provide mature offerings that meet market demand, as well as demonstrate
the vision necessary to sustain their market position as requirements
evolve. The hallmark of Leaders is that they focus on and invest
in their offerings to the point that they lead the market and
can affect its overall direction. As a result, Leaders can become
the vendors to watch as you try to understand how new offerings
might evolve."
"We believe our position in the
Leaders sector of Gartner's most recent Enterprise Architecture
Tools Magic Quadrant, as well as the BPMS and BPA Magic Quadrants,
underscores our ability to deliver powerful solutions that help
businesses transform the way work gets done," said Kamran Kheirolomoom, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Business
Process Solutions, OpenText. "OpenText Metastorm was one of the first vendors to leverage the synergies between
enterprise architecture, business process analysis and business
process management remains committed to innovating and delivering
market-leading software designed to help organizations connect
strategy with execution to drive meaningful change across all
lines of their business."
As part of the Enterprise Architecture Magic
Quadrant Tools assessment, Gartner evaluated OpenText's (Metastorm)
ProVision solution, a comprehensive software suite for enterprise
and business architecture, process discovery and business process
analysis. Now a component of the newly formed OpenText Business
Process Solutions (BPS) group, ProVision allows organizations
to gain a complete and connected view of the inter-relationships
between business strategy, business processes and the systems
and technology that support them. ProVision enables businesses
to better understand, realize, innovate and monitor all aspects
of operations to continually improve performance.
